If He Got IT You Got IT!

Getting tested is the best way to prevent receiving an STD. Many couples, especially ones in college have sex with a partner they are not sure has been tested for an STD. Imagine how many people your spouse has been with that also have probably not been tested.

Take a look at this scenario;
Jamie was just tested 3 months ago and did not have an STD and she has been having sex with her boyfriend (Josh) who has never been tested. Although three months ago she didn't have an STD, she now has one. The boyfriend went out to the club one night and had unprotected sex with a girl he met that night (Amy) because he was drunk. Amy has slept around with a few guys, so she has the STD also. Amy received the STD from Brandon who got it from his ex-girlfriend Britney who cheated on Brandon.
Do you see how big of a chain reaction it is when one person doesn't have safe sex and also get tested. It is like a small epidemic of an STD going around because of whoever Britney slept with. The STD being spread could have been eliminated if each person would have gotten tested.

You probably wonder how can you get your partner to get tested. You may not want to upset your partner, but I'm sure you'd rather them be upset at you then you upset at them because they gave you HIV, Chlamydia or Genital Herpes. Make sure you let your partner know you can get tested together, so that things do seem weird. They should know that you won't be judge them about their results. Also reassure them that everything stays between the two of you. No person wants their spouse's best friend knowing that they have an STD! Try to make things as easy as possible and if you all have not had sex with each other yet make that one way for you to have sex.

Wrap It UP!

Hi everyone
Last week you all received a little information on the different types of STD's you can get. This week I will be focusing on ways to help you prevent getting a STD. You usually hear most people saying the best way to not catch anything is to not be doing anything. Lets be serious in college more than half the student s are sexually active. Being sexually active means you take part in anal, oral and/or vaginal sex. All of these forms of sex are ways you can contract an STD!
This week we will focus on condoms as the main way to prevent a person from getting an STD. There are so many types of condoms out there that people don't usually know what type is right for them. Some guys feel the best condoms are magnums not knowing there little guy doesn't live up to that size. The CDC states that wearing a condom wrong and not wearing a condom that is the right size are the biggest reasons why so many accidents tend to happen.
There are also female condoms that can be used. These condoms are very big and look weird, but they are very safe and put inside of the females vagina. Most people are not usually comfortable with this type of condom, but you need to figure out what is best for you and your partner and what you both are okay with.
Make sure you are always using a condom correctly and never try to use 2 condoms on top of each other it will only rip. Also always check the condom before and after you have sex to make sure there are no rips in the condom.
I hope you all enjoyed reading my post this week. Next week i would like to focus on getting tested with your partner. If you have other ideas for next week all ideas are welcome.
